Cam Cast
Director of Facility Operations
Mr. Cast leads the operations and logistics activities for all of Primafuel’s infrastructure projects, including the Sacramento terminal project. He brings a wealth of expertise in West Coast bulk-liquid infrastructure, having managed several of the largest terminals in California. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Cast has been responsible for all business operations of various chemicals and bulk liquid distribution and transportation facilities owned by such prominent companies as Westway Terminal Co., Vopak, and Dow Chemical. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.
Rahul Iyer
Chief Strategy Officer
Mr. Iyer provides deep expertise in regulatory strategy and government affairs for the Company. He is a member of the National Academy of Science and has advised and participated in international panels on climate change and renewable energy policy for groups such as the United Nations and the World Economic Forum. Previously he was a co-founder of Element One Enterprises where he helped craft its initial business plan and secured foreign investment for a multimillion-dollar fuel processor project. He later served as the Manager of Business Development for Intelligent Energy, Ltd where he developed a $20 million sustainable business plan for the creation and financing of their Latin American subsidiary. Mr. Iyer studied public policy at Stanford and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley.
Brook Porter
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Porter leads the development, permitting, engineering and business development activities for Primafuel’s low-carbon fuel infrastructure projects, including the flagship Sacramento terminal project. Previously, he was a co-founder of Element One Enterprises and later the Manager of Research and Development for Intelligent Energy, Ltd. Mr. Porter has led multimillion-dollar research programs to develop low-carbon infrastructure solutions, including hydrogen generation systems and vehicle refueling technologies and holds multiple patents related to renewable fuel technologies, ranging from fuel cells to biofuels to fuel processing systems. In 2005 his co-developed ENV Motorcycle was awarded Time Magazine’s Invention of the Year. Mr. Porter holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley with an emphasis in Environmental Technology.
Justin Hughes
Analyst
Mr. Hughes brings extensive experience in renewable fuel market regulations, infrastructure and logistics, and related commercial dynamics. He has been engaged in policy and market analysis of the Federal Renewable Fuel Standard and the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard focusing primarily on commercial opportunities in infrastructure and carbon/renewable fuel credits. He holds a degree in Political Economy and Middle Eastern History from Columbia University.
